Parnava has the wonderful gift from God – his melodious voice, his music has the intensity to explode on stage! He has the power that rushes your adrenalin through the various numbers he delivers. He is the versatile singer of the day – Champion of Zee TV Bangla Golden Voice’2006-Parnava, Parnava Banerjee.

He was born in Kolkata in 1987. His parents reminisce that he could sing before he could talk. So they spared no pains in fulfilling the great potential the child showed.

On 30th July’2006 the memorable time came before Parnava when he stood champion & was honoured by Golden Voice Award from Zee TV Bangla. Out of 36,259 contestants, Parnava became the topmost winner. The contest continued more than six months, attracting millions of viewers in land & abroad. The achievement of the unique honour made Parnava more responsible and enriched regarding Music.

The first step in the direction of his maiden Album “Swapno Kuri” was released on Mahalaya (October 10th,2007) from Prime Music. The Album contains Modern Bengali Songs of different moods, with lyrics and Music by Goutam Ghosal, Uday Banerjee, Deb Goutam, Rajiv, Mitul, Nirmal & Parnava himself. Goutam Banerjee has arranged the sound.

Parnava’s Album “Swapno Kuri” was selected as the best Music Album in 2007 & awarded the “Sharad Arghyo award-2007” organized by Ananda Bazar Patrika, Acc Cement & Uco Bank.

In the small span of his musical life, Parnava found the remarkable moments of performance alongwith his Guru Pt. Ajay Chakraborty in the programme of “Anek Diner Amar Je Gaan” sponsored by ETV Bangla. His subsequent performance in “Eto Noy Sudhu Gaan” led by Tara Bangla Television is also memorable.

At the age of five Parnava started to learn songs under the guidance of his Aunt,Smt. Arundhuti Basu Roy. When aged ten, he was admitted in the Musical Institution “Shrutinandan”, led by Pt. Ajay Chakraborty. As a student of Rahara Ramkrishna Mission Boys’ Home, he used to participate in different Musical Competitions & achieved regular success. As his musical genius prompts him to respect and cultivate all kinds of good songs, he has been proving his unique excellence in various spheres of music. Parnava is very much interested in varieties of songs starting from Bengal Raag Sangeet to Modern Bengali Songs, Ghazals & Hindi Songs. The songs sung by veterans like Sri Akhil Bandhu Ghosh, Hemanta Mukherjee, Jatilashwar Mukhopadhyay, Manna De, Kishore Kumar, Shyamal Mitra & Manabendra Mukherjee inspire him tremendously.

At present not only in Bengal but also in other States, Parnava’s songs are being highly admired. Today Parnava is the heart- throb of the young and loved by all.
